Director of Finance

Candidate must have knowledge of state/local government or private sector budgetary and financial operations, including budget development, budget analysis, funding allocations, financial reporting, and financial computer applications; familiarity with Federal program funding and monitoring; state and local public education funding and Virginia’s legislative process; knowledge of general fiscal services in areas of purchasing, bidding, payroll, budget considerations, insurance, and the Virginia Procurement Act.
Applicants should have supervisory experience and experience in budget and planning methodology, preparing financial forecasts, and executing an operational budget. The Director of Finance will work in collaboration with the Superintendent and the School Board in the annual budget development process.
