About Spectrum Academy Spectrum Academy is a premier Charter School that educates students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Approximately 80% of our student body receives Special Education services. Our classrooms are a hybrid of mainstream and resource models found at typical schools. Teachers at Spectrum Academy have an IEP caseload and work with students who may or may not be receiving Special Education Services. The Special Education Coordinator Office is responsible to coordinate activities with service providers in accordance with Student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Essential Functions This position is responsible to assist the Special Education Coordinator with the following: 1. Send meeting notices to appropriate personnel using Google Calendar system. 2. Send Notice of Meetings to families through the mail and email. 3. Update the IEP Program database to reflect necessary changes implemented and finalized during IEP meetings. 4. Other maintenance needs in the IEP Program database. 5. Send finalized IEPs home to parents/guardians. 6. Maintain and ensure compliance of Special Education Files. 7. Assist teachers with IEP questions. 8. Assist Related Service providers with IEP needs. 9. Input Special Education information into school information systems. 10. Request student records from previous schools. 11. Mail records to schools for transferred students.
