Position Summary: To provide prompt quality service to every school every day. Perform a variety of tasks necessary to maintain the integrity of the district’s buildings. Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions and follow all safety requirements. The primary focus for the Glazier Craftsperson if to install, maintain, and repair windows, window framing, and store front glass across the district. The glass types are laminated, tempered, and FEMArated glass and windows. Older facilities may also include glass block and standard pane glass. The job tasks include, but are not limited to, measuring, ordering, cutting, and installing glass for windows, storefronts, doors, mirrors, trophy and display cases, and other glass related duties. This position will require physical labor and may include working with outside contractors and vendors for new installation and replacement of electric parts and equipment. This will also include working with other Maintenance shops for specialized project work throughout the school district. This position will also require the employee to perform various other tasks assigned including, but not limited to other Facilities related tasks.
