Middle/High Visual Art Teacher (Grades 6-12)
Must hold a certificate issued by Florida Department of Education.
The certificate must be in one of the following types: Professional Certificate, Temporary Certificate, Statement of Status of Eligibility.
The certificate position area must be in Art.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The certificate status must be active.
Under the supervision of the Building Principal is responsible for teaching art education to pupils, and assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of art instruction.
DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for a middle/high school art teacher in a growing charter school. This position requires a teacher who is comfortable with middle/high school art content including drawing, painting. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to whole group and small group instruction, lesson planning, grading, curriculum implementation and classroom management. Some advanced courses may are included in this schedule. Opportunities for professional growth may be provided.
Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversation.
Contacts: Daily contact with students, teachers and school staff. Regular/occasional contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnel.
