Literacy Specialist/Federal Programs Coordinator - $2,000 signing bonus
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Elementary Education (1-8) (ARL), Elementary Education (K-6) (Level 1), Elementary Education (K-6) (Level 2), Elementary Education (K-6) (Level 3), Elementary Education (K-6) (ARL).
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: DI - Spanish, Computers, Elementary Teacher, Title I.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program. Expired certifications will be considered.
The Literacy Specialist/Federal Programs Coordinator will support all K-6 staff in the implementation of the School Literacy Plan and manage federal programs. The Coordinator will work directly with teachers in a school providing classroom-based demonstrations, collaborative and one-on-one support, and facilitating teacher inquiry and related professional development. The Coordinator will focus on enhancing teachers’ ability to provide instruction that builds students’ sense of engagement in the ownership of learning. The Coordinator will also work with administrators and teachers to collect and analyze data, interpret, and use it to guide instructional decisions.
The Literacy Specialist/Federal Programs Coordinator will report to the school principal.
