Providence Hall Math Interventionists work under the direction of the MTSS Coordinator and with a team of interventionists to help assess and then provide curriculum-based instruction to students who are not performing on benchmark levels. Interventionists work closely with classroom teachers and the MTSS Team to identify deficiencies in mathematics and apply interventions to meet those needs. Interventionists are trained in and learn multiple math programs through the school's curriculum. Interventionists spend a majority of time working with a variety of K-5 students in small pull-out groups of 2-6 students, tracking progress, tracking data, and collaborating with the MTSS and Intervention team to ensure students are progressing and receiving the best instruction for their needs. Other responsibilities may include push-in small group and 1:1 instruction in K-5 classrooms, supporting classroom teachers with assessment administration (Acadience Reading, KEEP, Acadience Math, Read Naturally placement tests, SPIRE placement tests, CORE Phonics, QPAS, etc.) and progress monitoring, and data collection for school decision making.
This position will be Monday-Thursday from 8am-3pm.
