Jordan School District Secondary Mathematics Teacher Specialist
Must hold a license issued by any agency.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus, Geometry, Math (General), Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry, Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Mathematics III.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
Secondary mathematics teacher specialist position available July 26, 2021. Secondary License Math Level 3 or 4 Endorsement required. The teacher specialist utlizes the most current research to plan and implement instruction. Instruction is alighned with NCTM recommended practices.
Under the direction of the Administrator of Teaching & Learning (T&L). the Teacher Specialist serves in a collegial, non-evaluative leadership role within schools and and at the District level. Will support and facilitate effective instruction and professional growth in a broad range of areas (i.e. Science, Math, STEM., Dual Language Immersion, Literacy, Technology, Gifted and Talented, Mentoring, etc.) Assist with the development and implementation of T& L goals, strategies, evaluation and other support materials, and appropriate programs as assigned.
