Elementary School Principal
Hold, or be eligible, for a Utah School Leadership license. Elementary teaching and building level administrative experience preferred
Provides instructional leadership to staff including: curriculum planning, review and implementation; and professional development. Responsible for day-to-day building administration and the safety and welfare of both students, staff and activities. Ensures a safe, pleasant and effective educational atmosphere, provides discipline as necessary and enforces school and District policy.
Manages employees in the school. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Works directly under the Superintendent of Schools and Assistant Superintendent.
Placed on Administrative Salary Schedule Range 43
12 month contract (237 days). Position to begin July 1, 2021.
