West Jordan High Math Teacher
Must hold a license issued by any agency.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus, Geometry, Math (General), Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry, Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Mathematics III.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 10th, 11th, 12th.
Math teaching position available Fall 2021. Secondary License Math Level 4 Endorsement required.
Candidates with experience working in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) will have an advantage. Preference may be given to applicants with experience teaching IB, AP, and concurrent courses or who have an ESL Endorsement. Various coaching and extracurricular opportunities are also available.
The classroom teacher is responsible for creating a positive learning environment where students develop the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners and productive citizens. Teachers maintain a safe environment: establish rapport with students, parents and colleagues:motivate students to develop attitudes and knowledge that will help them reach their potential and be prepared for higher levels of education and career readiness. Teachers differentiate curriculum and use effective research-based methods of instruction according to District and State Core Standards.
