Instructional Coach - Full-Time Position
An instructional coach collaborates with faculty to achieve their “personal best” as teachers. Toward that goal, instructional coaching is shaped by principles based on equality, choice, dialogue, reflection, and praxis. The successful candidate will serve as a content specialist to assist in the development and implementation of campus instructional plans that align to district goals and curriculum. The instructional coach works collaboratively with the instructional coaching team and is under the direction of school administration and the Executive Director.
-Work with teachers and campus administration to analyze student data, diagnose instructional needs and identify research-based instructional strategies to close achievement gaps. -Provide job-embedded professional learning for teachers including, but not limited to, modeling instruction that prioritizes student engagement and a standards-based focus. -Collaborate with administration and teachers to review and develop aligned curriculum components including assessments. -Provide individual and/or group instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve classroom instruction for learners. -Facilitates other programs as assigned. -Provides support in LEA Professional Development.
