Description

Accounting Technician II  

Salary Range:  $34,387 - $52,352



Primary Purpose
Performs intermediate technical work administering clerical assistance of the school division. Does related work as required. Work is performed under the  supervision of the Supervisor of Food Service.

Essential Functions

  • Stamp time sensitive mail
  • Review timesheets for accuracy for processing
  • Entering timesheets into the system
  • Fill in for receptionist as needed
  • Greet visitors in a professional manner
  • Type from rough draft and/or verbal instructions
  • Proofreading as needed
  • Open and distribute PONY mail
  • Print, fold and stamp outgoing letters to parents for outstanding meal balances
  • Assist with checking bills for accuracy
  • Receive time sheets and prepare them for processing
  • Manages department schedule by maintaining calendars
  • Arrange meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel
  • Complete Use of Facility forms for meetings
  • Various clerical task
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Serve as confidential secretary for the school division
  • Communicate with school cafeteria managers to make sure they have needed supplies
  • IHelp enforce food safety regulations
  • Compiles, prepares and maintains detailed and complex records and files
  • Check and review various reports, including state and federal reports for accuracy, completeness and conformance
  • Maintains office supply inventory by checking with managers and stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies
  • Help develop, maintain, and update all records, manuals, training procedures, food spec books as pertain to food safety and quality control
  • Update the manager’s handbook in google docs
  • Log and file all quarterly and annual testing log submissions
  • Assist with preparation for any and all food safety audits
  • Keep records of food safety results and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Responsible for cross checking bills with invoices and receipts
  • Perform bank deposits and reconciliations
  • Filing maintenance requests and following up as appropriate
  • Cross train on all office jobs and systems
  • General office duties as assigned.
Equipment
  • Uses standard office equipment such as personal computer, copy machine, fax machine, telephone.
  • Uses calculating devices.   
Qualification Profile
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college with major course work in administrative support technology or related field.
