  1. Salary based on the 2021-2022 Certificated Employee Salary Schedule (Minimum Base Salary $42,000)
  2. 162 day contract August 18, 2021 – May 27, 2022 (4-Day School Week)

Secondary teacher working with students in grades 7-12 at West Desert High School. Due to the rural setting of West Desert High School, successful applicant will be required to teach in multiple subject areas with a willingness to facilitate a project-based learning approach to learning.  Educators in this rural setting will be an integral part of a collaborative learning community with a growth mindset, demonstrating a high level of responsiveness to students needs including the implementation of differentiated teaching strategies.  Managing student behavior in a manner that optimizes the learning environment and develops student ownership.  As a singular educator in an isolated setting, employee will work to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with parents, the community, and administrative staff. 

Additional duties may include the managing and monitoring of the school building budgets under the direction of the building principal. Applicant must have a current Utah teaching license or agree to an APPEL contractual obligation through Tintic School District. Opportunities for extra-curricular/coaching assignments may be available. Preference will be given to applicants with any of the following endorsements: Mathematics, English and/or Science.

Signing bonus available.
