PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Webmaster’s role is to coordinate the planning, maintenance, and the ADA accessibility of all district web properties in a way that ensures the consistency of the look and feel across the organization. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
  1. Associate or Bachelor degree or equivalent and/or three years work experience in a related field.
  2. Outstanding oral and written communication skills; outstanding organizational, human relations, and technical skills; extensive knowledge of and experience with online, digital, print and non-print media, word-processing, and related applications; ability to work as a member of a team, maintaining sensitive and confidential information; proven skills in public relations program management, research, planning, crisis management, and marketing; ability to work independently in a variety of situations.
  3. Must have knowledge of content management systems, open-source platforms, website security tools, certificates, MS Office, Adobe CC and OneDrive. Proficiency in ADA web compliance standards, HTML5 and CSS is recommended. 
  4. Understands applicable copyright and other laws pertaining to written materials, news media and confidentiality. 
  5. Must possess strong organizational skills.
  6. Must possess good moral character and is expected to be a role model, in and out of the school. 
REPORTS TO:  Chief Operations/Information Officer
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks: 
 
  1. Posts information on the website, public access TV and social media accounts in conjunction with the Public Relations Coordinator and school administrators. 
  2. Coordinate with central office departments and schools to keep required information up to date. 
  3. Attends meetings and events across the division to capture digital media to be used in publications and video productions.   
  4. Analyze student, staff and community needs and scenarios to develop strategies to ensure content delivery is meeting the needs of our end users. 
  5. Works with division leadership in crisis management to respond to emergencies or other events as they occur by coordinating and delivering communication within and outside the school division. 
  6. Conducts periodic professional development opportunities in communications for employees at all levels. 
  7. Posts school event calendars and division academic calendar. ? 
  8. In coordination with the Public Relations Coordinator and administrators, monitors social media across division and community. 
  9. Verifies the website is ADA compliant with a quarterly report of any issues and corrective actions taken. 
  10. Complies with and supports school and division regulations and policies. 
  11. Performs related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor in accordance with the school/system policies and practices. 
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:    Twelve-month, full-time position
           
EVALUATIONS:
Performance on the job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified personnel.
