Salary Range: $30,694 - 46,689
Performs difficult semiskilled work in the operation of a central storeroom and assisting with general facility maintenance; does related work as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Warehouse /Facilities Assistant. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at or within arms length, operation of machines, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and oils.
Operating a central storage area, receiving, stocking and issuing materials, equipment and supplies; accounting for supplies received and disbursed; ensuring the security of the storage area. Receives and verifies maintenance shipments quantity and quality of items against invoices and reports discrepancies, unpacks and stores items in appropriate areas;
Prepares orders for replenishing stock levels and investigates inventory discrepancies;
• Issues merchandise and supplies from the central warehouse;
• Enforces warehouse rules and procedures and prevents unauthorized access to spaces;
Delivers materials and supplies to all designated locations;
Prepares forms related to warehouse operations;
• Cleans and maintains warehouse and equipment;• Performs related tasks as required;

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of modern warehouse and inventory protocol; thorough knowledge of facility maintenance and repair processes and procedures; ability to count and inspect a variety of stores and materials accurately and thoroughly; ability to operate light automotive equipment; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors and the general public; ability to follow up in cases of inventory discrepancies; ability to follow oral and written instructions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and considerable experience in the issue, inventory and acquisitions of parts and supplies. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Driver License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
