Assistant Director/Assistant Principal
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Administrative/Supervisory (K-12) (Level 1), Administrative/Supervisory (K-12) (Level 2), Administrative/Supervisory (K-12) (Level 3).
The license status must be active.
The Assistant Director (AD) plays an important role in helping students become motivated learners with the skills to succeed in life. They manage all aspects of their respective job functions, including using leadership, collaboration and advocacy to promote the success of each student. They provide solutions for preventative measures and respond to identified needs. The AD will work as the assistant to the Director and report directly to that position.
The AD assists the school Director with all aspects of the school’s discipline procedures, scheduling, student supervision, school safety plan, evaluation of teachers and instructional aides, professional development and other areas as assigned by Director. The AD communicates with parents about student success and needs. It is important that the AD has excellent communication skills. Through performing the Essential Job Functions, effective communication, reporting, procurement of needed supplies and materials, exceptional public relations skills and superior work-product, the DA contributes to a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
This is a full-time position and preference is given to candidates with a Master’s in Education Leadership.
