Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Elementary Education (1-8) (Level 1), Elementary Education (K-6) (Level 1).
The license position area must be in Elementary Teacher.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
Description
Teachers will provide instruction and direction to students in K-6, in accordance with the school's approved curriculum, while meeting the curriculum required by the State of Utah and striving to meet the school's mission, philosophy and goals. Teachers should have experience with Direct Instruction methods (preferred but not required) and with other innovative and creative teaching methods. They will be responsible for the progress of their homeroom students and maintain strong data records on all students that they interact with daily. They will oversee the interventions of students in their homeroom and monitor the progress being made during the intervention. Teachers need to have excellent communication skills as they will be the primary contact for parents and volunteers in their classroom. Teachers will need to have strong organizational skills and have lessons prepared one week in advance and are expected to complete job duties with minimal supervision. Teachers must possess the ability to work well with others as they will be collaborating within their grade level and team level while supervising any other instructor/teacher's aide or volunteer assigned to their respective classrooms. Teachers must possess strong classroom management skills.
