Lincoln Academy is an innovative K-9 Charter school. We are looking for a teacher to teach 3-4 English classes every other day.

Individuals are responsible for at least the following: In the classroom: • Prepare and deliver lessons based upon the state standards and school chosen programs to a range of classes of different ages and abilities; • Establish and communicate appropriate learning objectives • Create appropriate assignments • Grade work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of students' progress and development in a timely manner; • Provide appropriate interventions to students in need • Select and using a range of different learning resources and equipment, including various modes of instruction and integrating technology into the lesson. • Create regular assessments and prepare students for those and end of level assessments. • Manage student behavior respectfully in the classroom and on school premises, and applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior. • Observe and evaluate student performance. As an educators at a school: • Work as a member of a Professional Learning Community by: o Meeting weekly with a team o Adhere to agreed upon pacing and curriculum o Administer agreed upon common assessments o Collect data from common assessments • When agreed upon bring samples of student data o Identify students who need interventions • Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials; • Communicate with parents by updating the Student Information System and CANVAS. • Respond to emails within 24 hours • Support school initiatives and chosen programs
