Description

Assists small groups of students assigned to either of the two Learning Labs at John Handley High School. One lab supports students learning course content in a blended learning environment. The second lab is is a temporary learning environment for students receiving an intervention for disciplinary reasons. The specific Learning Lab assignment will be determined by the principal. OR Primary responsibility is providing assistance to elementary students. As directed by the principal and classroom teacher, the teaching assistant will also: work with individual or small groups of students in an instructional capacity, supervise students during other activities such as lunch, and assist in completing necessary paperwork. OR Primary responsibility is providing assistance to students receiving special education services in an inclusion classroom. As directed by the principal and classroom teacher, the teaching assistant will also: work with individual or small groups of students in an instructional capacity, supervise students during other activities such as lunch, and assist in completing necessary paperwork.

Salary:

Range for 2020-2021 is $12.26 to $23.00 per hour plus full benefits package. Workday: Full time/10 month (183 days) position, 7.0 hours per day
