The job of the CTE WBL Specialist is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the Career and Technical Education program with specific responsibility for coordinating Work-Based Learning activities for the cluster; promoting, coordinating and supporting high school CTE Interns; assisting CTE Interns in completing an online portfolio using LinkedIn; coordinating field trips; assisting with events; and performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned. This job reports to the CTE Work Based Learning Directors.
Essential Functions
- Facilitates the students with the CTE Internship Experience.
- Collaborates with the district WBL Directors for the purpose of implementing and maintaining WBL services and activities.
- Maintains a variety of electronic instruction files and records for the purpose of providing written paperwork and mandated requirements.
- Performs general clerical functions (e.g. recording visits to mentor sites, electronic filing of WBL paperwork) for the purpose of supporting the instructional program.
- Prepares student portfolios to be sent to the district for submission to USBE.
- Promotes Alpine School District’s CTE WBL Program (e.g. fairs, announcement, flyers, etc.) for the purpose of increasing interest and participating in Career and Technical Education and Work-Based Learning.
- Visit CTE Internship student sites, connecting with both the student and the business mentor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
