Description

Isle of Wight County Schools is seeking an Engineering Instructor for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Interested candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a valid teaching license with an endorsement in Technology Education.

The Instructor will help students explore the core concepts of technology and engineering and the design process to solving real word engineering problems. Interested candidates should meet the following qualifications: • Mechanical aptitude • MT1 Certified (or willing to participate in MT1 certification courses) • Experience with Vector Graphic Software (for use with laser & vinyl cutter) • Experience/ability operating laser cutter, 3D printer and CNC milling machine • Familiar with lean manufacturing (5S, statistical process controls, quality measures) • Experience with CAD, AutoCAD and Inventor • Workshop safety or first aid certifications preferred • Robotic experience preferred

Windsor High School has approximately 500 students and is located in the southern part of Isle of Wight County in the town of Windsor, VA, near the intersection of Routes 460 and 258. Windsor offers the best of both worlds with its friendly, small town atmosphere and close proximity to larger metropolitan areas.

Salary based on the Approved FY22 Teacher Pay Scale.
