The license must be in one of the following types: Preschool Special Education (Birth - age 5) (Level 1), Preschool Special Education (Birth - age 5) (Level 2), Preschool Special Education (Birth - age 5) (Level 3), Preschool Special Education (Birth - age 5) (ARL).

Job Description The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an enjoyable and gratifying employment opportunity with our agency. We are looking for a caring and motivated Early Childhood Instructor for the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing, located in Salt Lake at the JMS Campus.
Principal Duties As an Instructor you will: Provide appropriate programming for deaf/hard-of-hearing students Develops lesson plans that incorporate the Utah State Core Curriculum, adapts curriculum to meet individual student needs, and utilizes effective teaching techniques in translating lesson plans into productive student learning experiences. Teach subject matter, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education, correlated with other appropriate learning activities. Establish and maintain a standard of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning environment. Understand and use computers and other technological classroom support equipment in student instruction. Collaborate with families and staff. Work closely with other preschool teachers for lesson planning Work collaboratively with a Listening and Spoken language preschool teacher for language planning of individual students
