Spectrum Academy is hiring for Behavior Coordinators for both our North Salt Lake and Pleasant Grove locations. This is a full-time, administrative level position. Duties include but are not limited to:
Conduct ESI meetings on a bi-monthly basis Provide supervision hours for employees with their BCBA or BCaBA who have signed supervision agreements, and RBT’s with signed supervision agreements (as needed) Train all teachers on behavior and classroom management Provide continuous training for all behavior staff using the principles of applied behavior analysis Meet with behavior team on a regular basis to determine supports needed Monitor Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans to ensure validity, reliability and compliance with ABA principles and Utah’s Least Restrictive Behavioral Interventions Policy and Procedures and ensure staff are in compliance https://www.schools.utah.gov/file/156f0eca-0b4f-434a-a780-8335eea603f7
Schedule and train SST staff on Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) and ensure all certifications are up-to-date Certify as a CPI instructor and maintain certification Update behavior policies and procedures on an annual basis, in collaboration with alternate campus Behavior Coordinator Notify Related Services Director of any material changes that need to take place Ensure appropriate data collection Collect annual information for the Office of Civil Rights Data Collection report Collaborate with building principals to schedule trainings and report any issues of educator or behavior staff non-compliance Collaborate with Behavior Support Coordinator in alternate campus to ensure continuity of policies and procedures across campuses Monitor services delivered via IEP to ensure compliance with IDEA and State regulations Maintain communication and collaboration with campus administrators to determine supports needed Give guidance for Specialists on students with severe problem behavior as needed Create and maintain behavior staff training manuals Create and maintain training for outside Behavior service providers (ABA supervisors & RBTs) Create and maintain specific training for Behavior Specialists, Behavior Leads, and Behavior Assistants. Create and maintain specific training for Student Support Teams (SST) Ensure and reinforce specialists in sending out Behavior support emails or flyers at least monthly. Create and maintain training for new hires for when they come in after the beginning of the year. Provide evaluations for behavior team members at least twice annually. Maintain and update Intervention data bank for changes in the LRBI or the National Standards Project. HR duties - tracking employee work hours and time off, purchasing, reimbursements, contracts, etc. Other duties as assigned
