The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus, Geometry, Math (General), Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th.
Description
Vista School is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering rigorous and engaging math instruction to students in grades 6-9, fostering a positive and productive learning environment, and contributing to the overall academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and national standards and are aligned with the school's curriculum. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students. Assess and document student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as needed. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school community to support student learning and development. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Manage classroom behavior in a fair and respectful manner, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment. Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement. Prepare students for standardized tests and other assessments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Valid state teaching certification in Mathematics. Proven experience teaching math in secondary grades 6-9. Strong knowledge of math concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to students. Excellent classroom management skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with curriculum development and integration of technology in the classroom. Familiarity with project-based learning and other innovative teaching methodologies. Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and school community events. Application Process:
