Primary Responsibilities: Instructional Leadership - Evaluating Teachers, Evaluating instructional staff, key person in professional development, establish with instructional staff, instructional goals. School management - Interview and recommend school classified staff for employment, primary school disciplinarian of students, monitor students graduation status each semester, and monitor staff professionalism Qualifications - school principalship experience preferred, possess a master's degree in an educational field, possess a state of Arizona principal's certification, willingness to live in the Ajo community preferred. Provides leadership, administration, supervision, organization, development, implementation, and evaluation and coordination of the educational and instructional program within the respective building/school. Monitoring teachers’ instruction, facilitating data meetings with bi-weekly teacher delivered assessments, ensure that the teachers are using progress monitoring to implement RTI. It is expected that research based best practices for instruction will be implemented in all classrooms. To assist with the facilitation of school improvement, the principal will serve as the team leader of the teacher mentor, counselor, data analyst/behavior coach, and academic content area specialists (math, English, science). As team leader, it will be imperative that the principal develop a constructive process by which roles of responsibility are established and adhered to within the school and contribute to enhancing student achievement and accomplishment of school grade status.
