Job Title: Summer Care Coordinator
Qualifications:
Credentials: Current Elementary Teaching Certificate and/or Elementary Administration Certificate
Education: Master’s degree in Education Administration, preferred
Training or Experience Required: Currently employed as NPS certified employee or holds an administrative certificate.

Reports To: Director of Early Childhood
Job Goal (Purpose of Position): To use leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills so as to promote the maintenance of an effective, efficient, comprehensive summer care program for students PreK - 5th grade.
Performance Responsibilities:
Maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary.
Helps establish guides for proper student conduct and maintaining student discipline.
Assumes responsibility for the conduct and maintenance of well-being of students.
Supervises daily operation of Summer Care.
Assists in initiating, designing, and implementing programs to meet specific needs of the school.
Interviews and assigns staff.
Assists in the preparation and dissemination of publicity and information concerning summer care.
Assists in the supervision of the maintenance of all required building records and reports.
Assists in the preparation of reports, records, financials, lists, and all other paperwork required of the administration.
Works with the Director of Early Childhood and various members of the central administrative staff on summer care problems.
Coordinator keeps the supervisor informed of events and activities.
Assumes responsibility for the implementation and observance of all policies and regulations by the staff and students.
Maintains active relationships with students and parents.
Assists in making recommendations concerning the school’s administration and instruction.
Budgets school time to provide for the efficient conduct of school instruction and business.
Assists with the development, determination of appropriateness, and monitoring of the enrichment program.
Assists in scheduling within established guidelines to meet student needs.
Assists in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum.
Supervises the summer care program to enhance individual student engagement, safety, and development.
Assists with the preparation and presentation of the final budget and program report.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment:
Contract length: Work Days June 7 - 30, 2021
July 1, 12 – 29, 2021
August 2-5, 2021
**Stipend will be given for planning prior to the start of Summer Care.
Work Schedule: 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
(one hour lunch break)
Salary Schedule: Summer Addenda
Method of Evaluation: In accordance with the Board of Education Policy
