College Counseling Professional

Scheck Hillel Community School located in sunny South Florida is currently accepting resumes for a college counseling professional (Co-Director or College Counselor) in our high school for the 2026/2027 academic year.

In collaboration with the College Counseling team, this position is responsible for administering all aspects of the college search and admissions process, including the following:

Facilitating meetings with juniors and seniors, individually and in groups, with parents and without, to discuss the college search and making individual college choices Advising all high school students, parents, and faculty about colleges, the college admissions process, trends, procedures, and testing in both formal and informal venues Supporting high school students as they transition from high school to college Establishing and maintaining relationships with university admissions representatives Coordinating onsite meetings with college admissions representatives Teaching college readiness classes Partnering with counselors in 8th through 10th grade to begin strategic planning for college admissions Writing strong letters of recommendation to support students in the application process Representing the school at conferences and university visits
