Description

Monticello Academy is an academically rigorous charter school located in West Valley City and West Point, Utah for professionals who love to grow!

Monticello is currently accepting resumes for a counselor position for the 2021-2022 academic year. Applicants should either hold a current school counseling license or be working towards earning their license.

We are looking for applicants who are passionate about helping students in both elementary and middle school settings and who are able to support classroom teachers with counseling lessons/resources.

We are a college-prep school, which means we challenge students; hold them to high, measurable standards; and accelerate learning wherever possible. We also offer rich specials courses that support our Core Knowledge program. Students get consistent, quality instruction in visual art, music, Chinese, and physical education. Our specials teachers collaborate regularly with classroom teachers to integrate with and support the core curriculum.

We strive to create the right balance of collaboration, direction, support, and autonomy, and we give teachers many opportunities to lead and create.

Even though we are a charter school, we offer Utah Retirement System benefits. We offer competitive base salaries and we contribute monthly to a Health Savings Account.
