POSITION: Records Clerk
Part-time: 2 days per week (flex schedule as required)
Hours: 8:30 - 1:30 pm
SALARY: $12.80 Per Hour
GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK:
This is a grant-funded position through the regional adult education consortium. Performs responsible clerical work and a variety of clerical tasks in an office environment, e.g., data entry, filing, and related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Some work requires stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, and repetitive motions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS:
Maintains lists, files and database.
Makes copies; sends emails to various locations.
Performs basic data entry and filing duties.
Folds and stuffs various publications and labels envelopes.
Serves as receptionist; greets visitors and provides direction and assistance in absence of receptionist.
Performs related tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
General technology skills, including the use of the Internet and basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
The ability to operate standard office equipment.
Knowledge of standard office procedures.
Good communication skills - (the ability to speak clearly, understand and follow written and oral directions).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in clerical work.
