The license must be in one of the following grades: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
Description
Under the direction of the Principal of the Virtual High School, the teacher specialist will act as the district representative in the Utah Students Connect consortium. In this role, the teacher specialist will work with teachers to ensure a positive learning experience for students enrolled in the program. They will fulfill any shared responsibilities of the consortium to ensure the program runs optimally including attending regular meetings, running weekly reports, and maintaining enrollment systems. They will also support teachers and students in the virtual middle and high schools to develop virtual curriculum and support best practices for virtual instruction.
Will support and facilitate effective instruction and professional growth in a broad range of areas (i.e. Science, Math, STEM., Dual Language Immersion, Literacy, Technology, Gifted and Talented, Mentoring, etc.) Assist with the development and implementation of T& L goals, strategies, evaluation and other support materials, and appropriate programs as assigned.
