Special Education Teacher/Coordinator
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license status must be active.
St. George Academy (SGA) is looking for a High School Special Education teacher who will also serve as a half day Special education coordinator.
Under the direction of the Executive Director of SGA, the coordinator of Special Education is responsible for implementing and maintaining 8th-12th grade Special Education programs and services in compliance with local LEA, state, and federal objectives and laws; arranging, designing, and implementing all phases of service in collaboration with Special Education staff and core teachers; serving as a resource to patrons and school personnel, and coordinating Special Education funding with SGA’s business manager.
As a Special Education teacher, the position will require direct instructional support for students with IEPs, classroom management skills, basic understanding of Utah High School Core material in math, science, language arts and social studies.
As this position is starting in the middle of a regular contract cycle, salary will be discussed during employment interviews.
