BCBA - Board Certified Behavior Analysis
Alpine School District is looking to hire a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is also a certified teacher. This is a contracted position for work. You will be responsible for assisting school personnel in creating effective behavior intervention plans using sound behavior theory and applying evidence-based behavioral practices, training behavior technicians, and possibly supervising BCBA trainees. Experience with determining primary problem behaviors, conducting comprehensive functional assessments, identifying the functions of problem behaviors, implementing behavior intervention plans that include function-matched interventions, gathering baseline and intervention-related data, and modifying behavior intervention plans based on gathered data is required. Experience working with multiple grade levels is beneficial. Other important skills include: excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to explain and model proposed interventions, effective data gathering methods to determine outcomes of interventions, excellent organizational skills, ability to express oneself in writing, and professional appearance.
