Description

NPS is currently accepting applications for the position of Cafeteria Staff/Teacher in the Racer Kid Zone child care program. This position will fulfill duties in both the cafeteria and Racer Kid Zone. Successful applicants will take pride in their work, appreciate working with a well organized team, and enjoy being around students. Experience is a plus but not required.

This position is a full-year, full-time position with standard benefits (including health insurance) and leave. On regular school days the successful applicant will generally work 4 hours a day as cafeteria staff, 3.5 hours a day at Kid Zone, Monday - Thursday, then 8 hours on Friday at Kid Zone. During non-school days and during the summer the successful applicant will work 8 hours a day at Kid Zone.

The Racer Kid Zone program provides child care services for school age students before/after school, on Fridays, and during holiday and summer breaks. Applicants must be available to work after school, on Fridays, and during holiday and summer breaks. The Teacher will perform duties under the supervision of the program director and master teacher to help plan and carry out a daily program designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of a group of children. This person must be able to work collaboratively with other staff assisting in the classroom, be sensitive to the needs of individual children and relate well to both the children and adults.
