PDC Staff Development Secretary Job Description
Job Title: Professional Development Center Staff Development Secretary
Credentials: None required for this position
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Training or experience required: Computer experience using databases and spreadsheets Minimum of 1 year working in a school system is preferred Typing skills of 60 wpm with 90% accuracy
Site: Professional Development Center
Reports to: Executive Director of Staff Development and Student Achievement
Contract: 260 days
Salary Schedule: Secretary 1
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Essential Job Functions:
Greet all visitors coming to the center and respond to requests for resources and services
Electronically record all paperwork from sites for professional development activities in Frontline
Compile and maintain all documents regarding staff development in the Norman Public Schools district using Frontline
Complete tasks regarding staff development records, requests, and information
Work directly with the District Test Coordinator and assist with the planning and coordination of state testing
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Successful performance of the job requires good customer service/people skills and the ability to handle problems and provide information and technical assistance as requested. It requires complying with safety guidelines and policies to reduce accident/injury to staff or to students. It requires following school dress standards, proper attendance or leave policies, and other work-habits concerns for staff. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job. Since there may be several ways to solve a problem, an incumbent is free to choose the solution. Additionally, the incumbent will be asked to provide training and support to district staff in the use of Frontline.
