Description
Under the direction of the principal, the teacher’s responsibility is to guide students toward the fulfillment of their intellectual, physical, and psychological potential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works with students with various academic levels. Creates and maintains a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability level of the student. Plans a program of learning experiences that will assist in achieving skill development and progression for students learning biology. Uses assessment data to provide meaningful instruction. Provides meaningful instructional delivery that connects biology to the real world using hands-on activities. Instructs students in objectives commensurate with curriculum and pacing guides. Complies with and enforces school rules and school board policies and procedures. Attends and participates in faculty meetings and serves on committees as appropriate. Performs other school duties and assignments as appointed.
