PT ESL Aide ~ UHS

POSITION: ESL Aide ~ UHS

APPLICANTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
(19.5 HOURS/WEEK)

District Expectations:

• Demonstrate the ability to instruct Limited Language students effectively 
• Demonstrate the ability to modify instruction to help students become competent in the area(s) of weakness
• Work cooperatively with all staff to ensure a comfortable and pleasant working environment that will be conducive to learning and will encourage safety and good relationships
• Demonstrate the ability to (and will) relate positively with students, staff, parents, and community
• Maintain professional competencies through continued learning
• Assist with data collection and data entry
• Computer skill and familiarity with online learning programs
• Other duties assigned by supervisor

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Utah Elementary Teacher Certificate and Spanish speaking preferred but not mandatory
• Must hold Associate’s degree or have 48 semester hours of college credit OR must have passed or be willing to pass the ParaPro test immediately upon hire
• Bilingual preferred but not required
