College Assistance Program (CAP) Advisor
Must hold a certificate issued by Florida Department of Education.
The certificate must be in one of the following types: Professional Certificate, Temporary Certificate, Statement of Status of Eligibility.
The certificate position area must be in Counselor/Guidance.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The certificate status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
The CAP Advisor works with students at middle and high school levels. They are responsible for helping students apply for admissions into post-secondary institutions, local and national scholarships, financial applications such as FAFSA. The CAP advisor also supports students in student academic achievement, as well as other areas required for post-secondary success.
