The Systems Analyst is part of the team responsible for the most important data in Stafford County Public Schools. Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Technology Services, the Systems Analyst gathers, compiles, and synthesizes instructional data into usable information for the state, the public, and the entire school division. The System Analyst will document processes, create instructions, and train staff in the use of SCPS data systems. Projects will include high level technical work as well as designing and testing programs to serve identified administrative needs.
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Analyzes school and department systems and processes, and translates needs into data and information reporting requirements. ? Present results to department leaders in a preferred tool (such as Office suite, BI Tools and Dashboard). ? Identifying data anomalies and communicating back to the data stewards. ? Serves as liaison with external and internal clients and departments. ? Evaluates and tests results of software packages and information systems. ? Works closely with other technical staff and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction. Interacts courteously with all system users with a focus on delivering optimal customer service. ? Designs, revises, improves, and documents programs to serve identified administrative and instructional needs. ? Responds to requests in a timely manner. ? Serves as an optimal role model for students, colleagues, and the general public. ? Maintains a clean, neat appearance, appropriate to position. ? Adheres to policies and regulations, including guidelines of confidentiality, as outlined in federal and state laws, and School Board Policies and Procedures. ? Performs other related duties as required/assigned.
