Fine Arts Teacher - OMA Arts Integration Specialist - Music - Miles ELC (Effective 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR)
The OMA Arts Integration Teacher is committed to enhancing student achievement through integrating the arts with core curriculum. The teacher collaborates with principals, curriculum specialists, and classroom teachers to provide the direct delivery of quality arts instruction to students through critical thinking, creative problem solving, and multicultural perspectives
Arizona Elementary Certificate with Music Approved Area OR Music K-12 Endorsement
Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Music K-12 Endorsement
Arizona Secondary Certificate with Music K-12 Endorsement
Arizona Arts Education - Music PreK-12 Certificate
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Experience with one or more of the arts disciplines (music, drama, dance, visual arts)
Experience with integration of the art form(s) with tested curricular subjects.
Knowledge of the Arizona State Standards for the Arts
Knowledge of the National Arts Standards, current brain-based learning research, and multiple/alternative assessment methods.
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
ESL or Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
Three years of classroom instruction experience.
Knowledge of Opening Minds through the Arts (OMA) program and its tenants of implementation.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Effective 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION - Miles ELC K-8 School - Broadway & Highland Area
.8 FTE - 6 hours per day
9.5 month position
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
The hiring range for external candidates will be $40,200.00 to $47,700.00, based on experience.

Temporary Contracts are issued after Labor Day and/or for vacancies of .6 FTE or less for the remainder of the school year only. Temporary Contracts may be eligible for conversion.
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
