Job Title: Administrative Services Center Receptionist

 

Credentials: None required for this position.

 

Education: High school diploma or GED

 

Training or experience required: 

Five years of successful employment and experience in the field of receptionist, secretary or administrative assistant. School district experience preferred but not required.

 

Site: Administrative Services Center - Superintendent's Office

 

Reports to: Executive Assistant to Superintendent

 

Contract: 260 days

 

Salary Schedule: Secretary 1

 

FLSA Classification:  Non-exempt

 

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors providing them a positive first impression
  • Determine nature and purpose of visit and direct visitors to the appropriate destination
  • Notify staff of visitor arrival if required
  • Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
  • Provide information to callers
  • Take and relay accurate phone messages when appropriate
  • Address/resolve problems and provide information and assistance as needed
  • Schedule and organize conference room bookings and assist in preparing conference rooms
  • Monitor visitor access system and maintain security awareness
  • Sign for all deliveries
  • Sort and distribute U.S. mail and interoffice mail
  • Maintain campus birthday list
  • Maintain district phone directory
  • Provide administrative support to Administration Office and Norman Public Schools Foundation
  • Assist with special projects
  • Maintain and tidy the reception area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
