Description


SUMMARY
Provides activities to meet the academic needs of targeted students.  Consults with teachers, staff and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students.  Collaborates with students, parents and staff to increase academic and social achievement. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate 
Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Must Have Appropriate Endorsements, depending upon functional area
Three years of teaching experience, utilizing technology in instruction

There may be additional requirements depending on functional area assigned

PREFERED REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Systems Thinking, Restorative Practices and Intercultural Proficiency
Knowledge of the TUSD Post Unitary Plan
Designing and implementing student/family mentoring programs
Experience presenting or facilitating staff development sessions on such topics pertinent to assigned functional area

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
Must hold a current Driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance coverage greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

COMMENTS
Effective 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION - Palo Verde Magnet High School - 22nd Street & Kolb Area
1.0 FTE - 7.5 hours per day
9.5 month position

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.  
The hiring range for external candidates will be $39,400.00 to $46,900.00, based on experience.

Temporary Contracts are issued after Labor Day and/or for vacancies of .6 FTE or less for the remainder of the school year only.  Temporary Contracts may be eligible for conversion.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
