Must hold a license issued by Virginia Department of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Collegiate Professional License, Postgraduate Professional License.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus, Geometry, Math (General), Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Works with at risk students with various academic levels. Creates and maintains a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability level of the student. Plans a program of learning experiences that will assist in achieving SOL skill development and progression for students at the middle or secondary level in the area of Math. Instructs students in SOL objectives commensurate with curriculum and pacing guides. Complies with and enforces school rules and school board policies and procedures. Attends and participates in faculty meetings and serves on committees as appropriate. Performs other school duties and assignments as appointed.
