Description

We are looking for a teacher who will work with 6th - 8th grades. Working to teach the Utah cores standards and help design a curriculum in our new Think lab. It will include coding and makerspace. The goal is teaching these grade levels and make technology exciting. You will also be working closely with the elementary makerspace teacher. An ideal candidate for a Channing Hall teacher will: •Possess a shared view of Channing Hall’s mission and teaching methodologies •Maintain an analytical view of student progress towards standards •Possess an unwavering commitment to children and believe all children can become agile learners •Possess a moral and ethical compass •Model core values of Channing Hall: inquiry, innovation, flexibility, dialogue, collaboration, global awareness, respect, influence, and open and honest communication •Demonstrate a heart and passion for leadership and education •Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills •Possess problem solving and relationship building capabilities •Demonstrate respect and concern for children and their parents •Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence •Communicate, collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders •Exhibit the flexibility and willingness to accept change
