Must hold a license issued by Virginia Department of Education.

-Provide lesson implementation that: -Strives to strengthen the basic skills of all students in all subject areas, -Motivates and involves students, -Is shared with students, -Uses a logical progression in lesson development, -Uses optimum pacing and sequencing, -Uses various strategies and techniques, -Provides meaningful closure, -Provides ongoing student assessment related to the expectations for student achievement based on required and other curriculum,
-Provide for student assessment that: -Uses formal and informal procedures, -Measures the successful attainment of local and state level assessments, -Communicates promptly and constructively student achievement to students and parents,
-Provide for management and organization that: -Maintains appropriate student control and discipline, -Focuses on the health and safety needs of students, -Successfully implements routine classroom procedures, -Provides an organized, purposeful and functional classroom environment, -Results in the proper care and use of materials, equipment and supplies.
-Provide for individual differences of students through the use of differentiated instruction, varied materials, and activities suitable to their interests and abilities.
