High School Art Teacher
We are looking for a passionate art teacher well versed in 2D and 3D disciplines to bring their expertise to our unique student population.
Provide daily instruction in art education in alignment with identified teaching standards.
Collect art education program data to evaluate student progress. Share data with school team and parents
Consult and collaborate with team members and Paraprofessionals, to schedule services and to modify student’s program
Maintain inventory of art materials, supplies, and equipment
Supervise, teach and monitor student teachers, peer tutors and other staff assigned to assist with programming
Assure confidentiality of all students’ information
Participate in family educational opportunities, including but not limited to Parent Empowerment Nights
Conduct student education and outreach opportunities, including assemblies and/or classroom instruction
Adheres to and supports Board policy, School guidelines, and administrative rules and directives
Maintains accurate case records and documentation
Maintains current knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations and abides by said laws and regulations with emphasis on persons with disabilities, child welfare, mental health, confidentiality, and student and parent rights
Participates in in-service activities and staff meetings promoted by the School
With training, manage a caseload of advisory students who have an IEP and receive special education.
Performs other duties as assigned by the School Administration.
