Principal - Elementary
Must hold a certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The certificate must be in Standard Professional Certificate I.
The certificate position area must be in Principal.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: Preschool/Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.
The certificate status must be active.
The Principal will provide leadership and administration which will motivate instructional and support personnel to strive for superior performance so as to provide the best possible opportunities for student growth and development, both educationally and personally.
Carry out duties for day-to-day supervision, management, and educational leadership. To provide technical assistance and in service opportunities to regular and special education staff related to special education curriculum development and implementation, IEP content requirements, and service delivery procedures. To ensure accurate state and federal student reporting.
Directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the curriculum for all instructional programs in the school district. Assist in the selection, assignment, and evaluation of school staff in accordance with District policies and procedures. Administers student discipline procedures in a fair and consistent manner affording appropriate due process protection. Monitors special education instructional services for compliance to special education laws, statues, policies, rules and regulations affecting the district and recommends corrective measures to the superintendent. Prepares and ensures the accuracy of federal and state student reports. Evaluates the quality of special programs, including curriculum and service delivery, and recommend strategies for improvement. Plans, budget, and monitors expenditure balances for special programs. Coordinates the administration and security of standardized norm referenced tests and criterion referenced tests. Provides leadership in development needs and opportunities related to special education and student assessment. Identifies professional development needs and opportunities related to special education and student assessment. Communicates the district’s mission and goals among students, teachers, and community. Completes and submits all reports within the specified time lines. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
