Program Coordinator and Charter School Vice Principal
Guadalupe School is composed of innovative, dynamic, and professional faculty members. The Program Coordinator works with all program leaders to help facilitate and meet the needs of those we serve. The Elementary School Vice-Principal assists the Principal in providing professional leadership to organize, administer, supervise, and evaluate the school program. To accomplish these tasks, the Elementary School Assistant Principal works closely with the community, staff, and administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary responsibility of the Program Coordinator is to coordinate services and build synergies between and for members of the organization’s programs and internal and external partners. - The primary responsibility of the Vice Principal is to supervise the Charter School Paraprofessional Staff, oversee Nutritional Department and oversee the Transportation Services to assist in proper execution of programs, policies, techniques and practices that ensure academic growth of students. - Assist the principal and Early Learning Director in developing and maintaining an effective educational program consistent with State and Federal guidelines and the philosophy, policies and goals of the School Board; meeting and conferring with students, parents, faculty and staff; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. - Assist in the overall administration of the school; interpret and enforce school and school division policies and regulations. - Assist in the transformation of the school culture into a results-oriented collaborative learning community. - Assist in monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local mandates and guidelines related to local and state testing programs and the local special education program. - Assist in planning and implementing a professional development/growth program for teachers and staff. - Assist the Principal and Early Learning Director in maintaining discipline throughout the student body; deal with special cases as necessary. - Serve with parents, faculty, and student groups, as requested, in advancing educational and related activities and objectives. - Identify the special needs of students on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of school system specialists as required. - Assist in the planning and implementation of a systematic method of supervising the instructional program through the use of learning walks, observations, documentations, and follow-up conferences. - Maintain and model high standards of professionalism. - Perform related work as required.
