Teacher for the Visually Impaired

Frederick County Public Schools, VA is seeking a Teacher for the Visually Impaired for the 2020-2021 school year. Frederick County Public Schools, VA is located in the Shenandoah Valley, just 65 miles west of Washington, D.C. Candidates must be eligible for, or hold, a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education Blindness and Visual Impairments Prek-12. Candidates should have a successful teaching experience working with students that are blind or visually impaired. Candidates must be able to cooperatively, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive education programs for students with visual impairments. Excellent human relations, interpersonal communications, conflict resolution, organizational and planning skills are required. Must have the ability to recognize and respond to individual student differences. Must be able to work in a collaborative and cooperative manner with parents, co-workers, school staff and service providers.
