Fremont High - (8 hr) CTE Aide
A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Fremont High School for a CTE Aide - High School. This position is for 8 hours per day, 9 months per year. Job Summary: The job of CTE Aide-High School is done for the purpose/s of assisting in the day to day functions in the CTE office, under the direction of CTE Coordinator and the CTE Secretary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Answers CTE school office telephone lines for the purpose of screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages. Directs student workers and volunteers for the purpose of guiding and monitoring work activities. Assists in distributing a variety of items within the office and school site (e.g. mail, supplies, messages, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating materials to appropriate parties. Greets public, parents, students, vendors, etc. for the purpose of responding to their inquiries and/or escorting/directing them to appropriate personnel. Assists in maintaining a variety of records (manual and computerized) (e.g. concurrent enrollment, CTELO activity, work-based learning , ATC, attendance, office supplies, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing reference and/or conveying information. Performs general and project specific clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, coping, faxing, mailings, etc.) for the purpose of supporting site activities with necessary materials. Assist in preparing written materials (e.g. logs, reports, memos, notes, email, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing reference, conveying information and/or to secure state CTE funding. Responds to inquiries of staff, the public, parents and/or students for the purpose of resolving inquiry and/or providing referral information. Assists other personnel (e.g. van transportation, magnet programs, junior high competency testing; compiles and maintains inventory lists, maintaining the calendar on the computer, etc.) for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work assignments. THE LIST OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE AND MAY BE SUPPLEMENTED OR ADJUSTED TO FIT THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB. TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY, AN INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM EACH ESSENTIAL FUNCTION SATISFACTORILY. Required Education and Training: High School diploma or equivalent.
Required Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Necessary to Performance of Essential Functions: Must be able to operate standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; and prepare and maintain accurate records. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: business telephone etiquette; common office machines; and office methods and practices. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; working as part of a team; and working with frequent interruptions.
