Online Learning Systems Designer
The Online Learning System Designer will lead the strategy, implementation, and administration of online learning systems for Stafford County Public Schools (the “School Division” or “SCPS”) to provide a world class online learning environment. Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Technology Services, the Online Learning System Designer will develop and maintain the school division's online learning and instructional content management systems, including innovative content and student centered course design while promoting equitable access for diverse students. The Online Learning System Designer will also assist in the identification and evaluation of appropriate online instructional resources that complement and advance the School Division’s capacity for online learning.
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the daily operations of the learning and content management systems (LMS and CMS, respectively) of SCPS including administration of user accounts, catalog and course management, and reporting usage. Lead the creation, documentation, and training of LMS standards, policies, and procedures. Develop and enforce standards with regard to appearance, use, quality, and version control of digital LMS content. Provide leadership in technical and system architecture for the integration of the LMS and CMS in online and remote learning environments.
