8 hours per day, 260 days per year

CLASSIFICATION:  AUX/TECH 05 ($31.23-$35.33 per hour)

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for administering and supporting telecommunication systems for the entire district while sustaining a high level of customer service. This position is also responsible for support and organization of IT projects that may impact multiple departments within the district with software, business systems, and infrastructure. It also requires the developing, maintaining, and communication of project plans, driving projects to on time completion and within budget. This person is to lead with integrity and respect. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
*High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree desired.
*5 years of clerical experience desired
*A strong understanding of computer workstations, servers, peripherals, and software. Also, ability to understand external department requests for computer equipment and software and to evaluate equipment requests.  Provide recommendations that meet requirements.
*Ability to complete accurate purchase processes and budget processes.
*Basic math skills.
*Personal computer and keyboarding skills.
*Knowledge of office equipment and procedures.
*10-Key by touch.
*Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies and building and department procedures.
*Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
*Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
*Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and Visio. May include additional workflow and design software.
*Foster and encourage a strong sense of teamwork, works well with others, and possesses a positive attitude with the desire to learn and be coached.
*Excellent communication, organizational, and active listening skills are essential.
*Follow PMI project methodology for IT Projects utilizing the five process groups – Initiating, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Control, and Closing throughout project lifecycles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1. Deliver telecommunications support by:
a. Organizing and managing telecommunication and phone billings.
b. Assisting the Chief Information Officer with the budgeting process for telecom infrastructure. 
c. Assisting the CIO with managing vendors.
d. Providing administration and technical support of Enhanced Emergency Systems.

2. Support telephone and voicemail systems by:
a. Providing administration and technical support of telephone/call management systems.
b. Developing user documentation.
c. Training users on voicemail systems.
d. Assessing and recommending add-on products.

3. Provide network cabling support by:
a. Managing the move/add/change work for network cabling requests.
b. Coordinating and managing vendors and service providers.

4. Manage E-RATE program by:
a. Completing annual filing requirements.
b. Adhering to Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) requirements and guidelines.
c. Performing Program Integrity Audit (PIA) Procedures.
d. Managing E-RATE invoicing.
e. Assessing, recommending, and coordinating vendors and services.

5. Support and organization of projects within the IT Portfolio, prioritize Technology Services project demand with Chief Information Officer.
6. Develop, track, and maintain project resource requirements.
7. Develop, track, and maintain project resource requirements.
8. Review, proofread, update, and maintain Technology Services webpage, communications, procedures, and data flow diagrams.
9. Raise awareness and desire of staff to be open and accepting to whatever change will result in the delivery of each project. Be the change advocate for every project.
10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality of any information regarding students, personnel, and all job related matters.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
